Adding a WHO to a Story Map

Prerequisites

1. A user will need edit access to a Story Map to be able to add a WHO to it.

Creating a new WHO

1. Click the  Options (gear icon) at the top left of the screen of a Story Map.  A drop-down will appear with a list of items.

2. Open

   

   Click on "Create a Who" from the list.

3. A pop-up will appear.  Fill out the Name, Category, and Sub-Category fields (if applicable).

   1. Click on the "Add another" to prevent the pop-up from closing after creating the WHO.

4. Click the “ADD” button to create the WHO and add it to a Story Map

Using an existing WHO

1. Click the “Options” (gear icon) at the top left of the screen of a Story Map.  A drop-down will appear with a list of items.

2. Open

   

   Click on "Create a Who" from the list.

3. A pop-up will appear.  Once you start typing into the name field, the application will search for existing WHOs with similar names. These will appear in the dropdown after entering in text in the name field.

5. Selected the existing WHO from the dropdown and click the “ADD” button to add the WHO to a Story Map.

Note: All WHOs created in a Story Map are also stored at a global level. So that they can be re-used in other Story Maps.
