Adding a Activity to a Story Map

Creating a Backbone Activity

  1. Navigate to the Story Map you want to create the activity in.

  2. Go to the Map → Activity tab.

  3. Click the “Add Backbone Activity” button on the Activity Map or “Create a Backbone Activity“ from the Story Map Options menu

  4. A pop-up will appear. Enter a description for the backbone activity.

  5. Activities created previously with similar descriptions will be loaded and displayed in the drop-down. These can used again in the current Story Map.

  6. Click the “ADD“ button in the bottom right.

 

 

Creating a Skeleton Activity

  1. Navigate to the Story Map you want to create the activity in.

  2. Go to the Map → Activity tab.

  3. Click the “Add Skeleton Activity” button under the desired parent backbone Activity or “Add sub-activity“ from the Backbone Activity Options menu.

  4. A pop-up will appear. Enter a description for the backbone activity.

  5. Activities created previously with similar descriptions will be loaded and displayed in the drop-down. These can used again in the current Story Map.

  6. Click the “ADD“ button in the bottom right.

 

Prefilling informtion

Within the pop to create any Activity, there is a “Expand additional fields“ icon. Clicking this icon will expand additional fields to be prefilled and added to the Activity on creation.
