Open the Story Map map in question and navigate to the “Frame & Overview” tab.
Open up the parent activity link next to the Story Map name. and click the open Story Map arrow Icon.
Navigate to the Map → Activity tab and identify the backbone activity under which the child Story Map currently resides, open the Options (gear icon), and select Information.
In the “Story Map link” field, select click the delete icon next to the field.
In the popup dialog, click the “DELETE“ button.
