Adding an Epic from the roadmap

Users can add Epics from the roadmap while in build mode. Within each cross-section between an Activity and a Release, there is an “Add“ icon. Clicking this icon will open a popup where the user can add an Epic. The add epic icon will not appear on activities that are not expanded and have children.

In the popup, users will need to select either a Who/When/Data/Where or Free text as the epic name. This will be used as the Epic name. From this screen, users can either select existing Explore Items, if some exist already, or create new ones. Existing Explore Items will be shown in a drop-down list. If the user doesn’t select an existing Explore Item the text in the field will be used to create a new one.
